Originally an industrial district along the outskirts of corporate London, Shoreditch is a bustling neighborhood known for its creative atmosphere. Despite this cultural hub, there is a disconnect amongst those who live, work and occupy Shoreditch, a distinction we directly related to how various spaces were illuminated. Especially in the transition from day to night.

In an attempt to create a public space, which offers no distinction among those who live there, work there and simply pass through, this intervention acts as a roof, which isolates, and unifies the residual spaces of the area. The roof acts as a way to uniformly light the in between spaces, regardless of their program. In turn, redefining when and how the space is occupied and those who occupy it.
